Mabuhay!

Went PH for work last week. Apart from work, got time to shop! (My job for this trip is to do site recce on the shopping malls - sweet.) Been working my ass off on projects for the past few months, maybe this trip is good to help me relax a bit.

Overall, its a nice place. Friendly filipinos, handsome filipinos and more filipinos who keeps addressing you as 'mum, mum'. Things are so cheap, it might be better than going to BKK i think!

How cheap are we talking about?

• 1 night of crazy drinking costs less than SGD$35 (We're talking about a few bottles of San Miguels, Magarita, Whisky on-da-rocks, more drinks and more food!)


• A dinner for 4 (Lots of pork sisig - a local delicacy served on sizzling hot plate, buku pandan - niceee, and lots of ice lemon teasssssssssssssssssssss - their all time fav drink)

Note: I haven't been able to put my camera to good use, :(. Dammit. Swear that I will start shooting soon. Side track abit here - I got a new idol! Been reading Kenny Sia's blog, its really funny. The way he posts his photos, the way he writes, I LIKE! Never fails to amuse me. I wanna try to see if i can also post up the pictures with the kenny-style captions. *winks

Lady: Hi ma'am, what would you like to eat? We have super cock in kebab style, sisig style, steam, fried, or if you want, sashimi style if you pay 200 pesos more.

Me: Hmm, ok, i want sashimi style.

Man @ back of shop: NOOOO!!!!!!!

The sashimi that we THOUGHT was good. No need to elaborate more. Presentation yes, edibility no.











Ice cream the size of my index finger. And my index finger is already so small ok.. Nevertheless, it is really nice.

Fact: Do you know a well paid filipino only earns about USD$200 p/ month? Thats only $300 in Singapore. This tiny pay includes their usual daily expenses. How lucky are we now?
