Previously: Lost 5k to the owner from block 536.
Long story short for those without the background: Was supposed to buy a flat in December. High storey unit in Upper Cross Street. We liked it a lot. Paid deposit but to find out it was actually a troubled flat with loan shark issues. Owner promised to return deposit but it's been 2 months. He kept delaying the payment and now, he went missing. I called his brother but he gave mismatched statements.
My conjecture as this point: He ran away with our deposit. If not, he would at least have tried to call us back rite? Unless, he got into some car accident or something. He'd better give me some good explanation. If not, FARK YOU MR. TAN.
We were supposed to be 5k richer. :(
Anybody else with some sound advice? We've reported to Police by the way.
